Queen on the Hillside
Attitude & Orbit Control
In The Middle Of This Riddle
Walk
I Saw You
Another Country
You were the Queen of the Mountain
You were the Mistress of forest and stream
You made me run on the Hillside
You made me a bearer of dreams
You made me move a mountain
Because you never gave in
You were the Queen on the Hillside
You were the Mistress of forest and stream
You made me breathe on the Hillside
You made me hold on to my dreams
You knew how to find the gold
You didn't do as you’d been told
Those years in captivity taught you
You found your own ways
You made me move a mountain
Because you never gave in
Because you never gave in
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström
Sitting in a forest
Trying to use my palette
All I see is fragments
It's a place for truth
In my little cottage
The skylights
Sitting in a rainbow
Trying to find a way to
Put them all together
In this place for new
Looking at the skylights
I know
This place
Become
My shade
The light
It's all
The same
I guide
You there
It's play
To be
Don't be
afraid
You are
The one
For you
It's done
I find
You here
To come
To see
You will
Get through
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström
Walking in space
Walking on the rooftops
Feeling so graceful
Almost as if my mind stops
I have to pretend
I don't exist
Meaning to mend
Catch up with what I've missed
We are falling
Away from the cold
Finally falling
Exploring it all
It's a beautiful night
(I'm) dreaming away
Listening to the sounds
I think of what to say
What if I jump
And land on my feet
Absolving for all
No more defeat
We are falling
Away from it all
Finally falling
Exploring it all
You have to dive in
No matter what now
You have to dive in
It has to begin
We are falling
Away from it all
Finally falling
Exploring it all
We are falling
Away from the cold
Finally falling
Exploring it all

I stop and fill my senses
I fear the broken sentences
Though shapes are falling into place
I'm hanging loose here in this open space
Vem, vem
Vem ska ta dig hem
Vem, vem
Vem ska ta dig hem igen
I stop and lean against your cheek
I hear the silence of the wind
You'll find me left here in between
But knowing things aren't always what they seem
Vem, vem
Vem ska ta dig hem
Vem, vem
Vem ska ta dig hem igen
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström
I will leave you in the darkest cloud
Then you can take a guess
What happened with the wind
And scream your fear out loud
I won’t see you
Maybe hear you
But I won't care 'cause
You'll be covered with that cloud
You'll be there before the morning comes
I'm watching as you fade away
Comprehension of the things I fear
The mask falls off your face
But I won’t see you
Maybe hear you
But I won't care 'cause
You'll be covered with that cloud
I won’t see you
Maybe hear you
But I won't care 'cause
You'll be covered
I won’t see you
Maybe hear you
But I won't care 'cause
You'll be covered with that cloud

When you question me
When you think there's something wrong with me
When I feel I can't get you to see
When I can't get the words to be
This is how I talk to you
This is how my voice comes through
This is how I reach to you
This is how, This is how
All those words I'd like to say
All the things I wish I could explain
Just seem to slip away like soap
Seems like singing is my only hope
This is how I talk to you
This is how my voice comes through
This is how I challenge you
This is how, This is how
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström
Out of nothing
Comes this thing
Out of hopeless
Comes something
Out of giving up
Comes new
Out of closed comes
Reach through
Somehow
Somehow
In some way
Some day
Got me a ticket
Don't know where
Expectations as I
Walked down the stairs
One reflection
I could never dream
There would be so much
Letting off steam
Somehow
Somehow
Some day
In some way
Somehow
Somehow
In some way
Some day
We'll reach
A higher ground
We'll find
Something
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström
See the tiny offspring
Hide behind a boulder
Vintage now, and coughing
It sure is getting colder
I have to commence my work
I have to commence my search
I have to commence my work
I have to commence my research
Stars on the horizon
Where are you little wild thing?
Stars are getting brighter
I've always been a fighter
I have to commence my work
I have to commence my search
I have to commence my work
I have to begin my research
Light on the horizon
Slowly coming closer
The room is getting smaller
While I am getting taller
I have to commence my work
I have to commence my search
I have to commence my work
I have to begin my research
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström
I help you breathe
I take your breath
I watch your step
I wrap my arms around you
When the cold surrounds you
So happy to have found you
I make your call
I take your fall
I pave the ground
The hole is getting bigger
I push away the digger
So happy to be around you
Where are you
Where are you
I call your name
I take you in
Wash off the stain
My head is all confusion
Is this just an illusion
I turn around
Reset the game
I make you spin
I re-arrange the framing
I try to stop the blaming
So happy to have found you
But where are you
Where are you
Where are you
Where are you
I only see me here
You're gone
Is this how it will continue
'Til I'm gone
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström
Pave me,
Pave me with this strength
As if it were mine
Heroes
We could try to be heroes
Heroes
We could try to be…
I go where the wind blows
Was thinking it came here
For reasons
I didn't know
To stay
For a long, long time
But no one knows
Now no one knows
Save you
You say you want me to save you
I even tried to
I tried to be
Your hero
I tried to be your
Heroine
Can't you see
Shield me
Cover me
Put me in a safe pocket
When the strong winds blow
Hero
Could you be my hero
Whenever the winds blow
Could you try to be
Heroes
We could try to be heroes
Whenever the winds blow
We could try to be
Stand up
Stand up before me
Love and adore me
Say you still do
And maybe
Maybe I will be
Steering my footsteps
Back to you
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström
I head for the North
That's where I come from
That's what feels like home
I turn towards the sky
Big glowing green light
A sense of knowing
I turn towards the night
Though I want to stay warm
Big green light glowing
Icy, cold, white
Diamond bright
Glittering, glimmering
Now the night
I hide in the night
I hide out of sight
In beauty
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström
I won't look back
I'll try to lose
With my head held high
Give it a try
To just let go
What do I know
Maybe we will meet again
Some other time
Another life
We could dress up like Bernie and Joe
And let nobody know, as
We would float through space, through time, the air
And we'd be there till end of time
I want to stop
I won't fit in
The memories come
Where have I been
I want to fly
But don't know how
We would dress up like Bernie and Joe
And let nobody know, as
We would float through space, through time
The air
And we'd be there till end of time
We'd sail like kites
Across the sky
The stars would guide us, be our light
I thought we would stay forever in this world

I will leave you in the morning
To see the sun begin again
I will free the things I thought I had passed
To find a new beginning
I will cycle past the grassy fields
And feel the wind my body makes
I will leave you in the morning
Invent the day, I'm on my way
I will leave you in the morning
To see the sun begin again
I will free the things I thought I had passed
To find a new reality
While the darkness is lingering
Underfoot, the morning dew
And the sky is pink and misty blue
Waiting for my signal
A clock is ticking, water dripping from a tap
The house asleep
A comfortable loneliness
My mind is ready, ready listening
I've packed my things, prepared for I cannot stay
Must get away
Before the trap is shut
Before the grunts and the footsteps draw me in
Before the rituals begin
Before the questions pull me back
And shut me in
I will leave you in the morning
To see the sun begin again
I will free the things I thought I had passed
And find a new beginning
I will cycle past the grassy fields
And feel the wind my body makes
I will leave you in the morning
Invent the day, I'm on my way
I will leave you in the morning
To see the sun begin again

We went walking down by the river
Holding hands
The cold made me shiver
I could hear it flow
River did you know?
oh ooh ooh ooh
oh ooh ooh
We went walking along the water
Holding hands
I'd become a walker
Evening sky in gold
Stories yet untold
oh ooh ooh ooh
oh ooh ooh
Flying high, flying low
No regrets, let it flow
Lions bathing in red and violet
Your warm hand
Caressing
Like velvet
Like a stepping stone
No longer alone
Still the echoes
of our laughter
First before, and then
Ever after
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström/(c) 2009 Music Box Publishing
So, you say
You love me in every way
You say
Who would ever take their hand away from me
I really set you free, make you breathe
So you say
You say
I seem too good to be true
I say
I feel the same for you
So if I make you breathe
Come on and walk with me
You say
I'm beautiful, so beautiful
You never felt like this before
You opened up a door
You say:
"Pity the flower that will not bloom
Because of its fear to fall"
But you're afraid
To let that flower bloom
But if I make you breathe
If I make you breathe
And if you make me breathe
Come on and walk with me

Our Dame is here, I've got it here
All that I ever wished for
But once again the time is wrong
Or I am wrong in time
One day maybe I will know
What happened once in this perfect show
Oh, here I have it all before me
I've got someone to adore me
Here's the temple, here's the river
Here's the view that makes me shiver
In a scenery as perfect as can be
Something is wrong
I'm floating in the silence that corrects us.

I'm in a blue room
I'm wiping it with my broom
Preparing it for my groom
I just don't know where he is right now
I'm wandering by the sea
I'm questioning the things I see
Falling down from a yellow tree
I'm not sure where I am
I don't know where I'll land
Questions keep on puzzling me
I'm getting dragged down from my tree
Although I want to be
Nestling in up there right now
Down on the grass now I can see
It was just due to gravity
I climb up again, up in the tree
It's easier to see from here

I miss you
these days
orphaned again
home is an empty space
a door with a sign
that carries my name
I miss you
these nights
lost my appetite
for time out and party life
I go through the motions
but nothing feels right
I miss you
for sure
this world holds no cure
for the loss of you
just strings of faces
and things I must do

Let's go
I dare you
To take a
Spacewalk
Way up high
Looking down
We see
Humans
You and Me
I get up and walk across the floor
I get up, can't lie here anymore
Let's go
All the way
Let's have a talk
Illuminated
Looking 'round
We see
Feel free
You and Me
On the sidewalk, 'cross the river
Past the fields
Come make me shiver
'Cross the lakes, across the oceans
Trees and meadows, blue and yellow
Through the warm rains, through the winds
Where eagles hover
Past the old pains
Through the light, and through the darkness
Mirror free, past gravity
You and Me
We go for a spacewalk
Illuminated
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström/(c) 2009 Music Box Publishing
The sun shone always
The trees were green
The roof hadn't fallen down yet
I guess I didn't see what was happening to me
Everyone was much happier
Well, at least they seemed
And grandpa lived where the roses beamed
I guess he didn't see what was happening to him
I still see that picture, it's a Midsummer's Day
Time for throwing your troubles away
Why can't I always be there?
The sun shone always
What a perfect scene
And we were together
I guess we didn't see what was happening to us
You know it's much easier
To appreciate the things you have
When they're not physically with you no more
When there are just memories, there's just you
Gathering your thoughts
And I still see that picture, it's a Midsummer's day
Time for throwing your troubles away
Why can't I always be there?

From this tower
I can watch you
It's much safer
Than the crowd
From this tower
I feel safe to
Run my engines
Grow my pride
I keep crawling along the river
Toward that settlement up high
Always waiting for the moment
Perfect moment to arrive
It's a struggle, oh, I tell you
To be safe and always waiting
Waiting to be safe,
To be alive
From this tower
I can watch you
It's much safer
Than the crowd
From this tower
I feel safe to
Build my sentence
Sail my cloud
Chose my words
And speak out loud
Think my mind
Is open wide
Such a cosy
Place to hide
Only option's
To abide
Always wait
And not decide
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström/MANUS
The world turns where I go
My world turns where I go
The world shows where to go
How could I know..
When you see
The falling in
The Rainbow Cloud
Was I too proud?
"How can it be?"
Now that I see
Of course it can't
Not the way I want
Not my picture in
A frame of gold
All that I was told
Must change now
In a garden of dandelions
I was walking happily
On my feet
When did it occur?
When did they leave
The ground?
And did I think I found
It
Really found that thing
Missing?
The World turns...
I watch the frame
They look the same
Something familiar here
Too much
I have to go it seems
All that I fought for
To get out of
Although it's all there
In my veins
Jump in, go back
It remains
I shook my head
I turned in my bed
I lay awake
I couldn't wait
To see you
But these traces
Seemed to be there
Surprisingly
I came to be
back
Where I came from
Although it's new
All new
Put back the pieces
It all increases
I sail away
To where I was
And where I've never been before
To a distant shore
Round and round and round and round.....
The World turns...
I do not heed
I do not bleed
No more, not now
From that I went
To feel the scent
I'll stay a while
I will not hide
I'll set aside
Those shiny silver frames
There's no mistake
I'll be there
To welcome you home
I'll dry your tears
I will be there
To welcome you
And that will be our
Home
This wooden frame
Will welcome you, and
The picture that you'll see
Is me
No thunder's heard
The smoke is gone
The silence lets me be
Let's sail away
Back to where we've never been before
Sail away
To a distant shore
The World turns...
Let's sail away
Back to where we've never been before
You and I...
Let's sail away
Back to where we've never been before...
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström/MANUS
It's been a while
We've had our trials
Was it worth while the fall?
So here I am
Same place again
But different now the call
I wished so much
Longed for your touch
I wanted you to see
You could rely on me.
Experience
They say you learn
And still I yearn for youth
To rest a while
In that infant smile
Before I learned the truth
Of many things
That life may bring
Of one thing I was sure
You could rely on me
Floating over the roof-tops of my little village
I just get a thrill each time I come here
I don't know why
It's just something in the air
I feel that certain smell, and well
It's not just perfect
But I feel like I belong
Somehow I feel at home
I feel at ease
Though I'm a stranger I am not
Just like this crazy spot
I just didn't think
I would feel so alone
This time
So, here we are
On different isles
And who knows what will be
All I know is
I tried so hard,
So hard to make you see
That even though
The door seemed closed
It was reality;
Wanted you to believe
How could I make you see
You could rely on me
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström (2003)/MANUS
So my friend here's the end
Paper piles cleared
Package sent
Through the storm I wait alone
Always waiting
To come home
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström (2004)/MANUS
Lightly close to me
I agree
We might have met before
One look apparently
Got to thee
Sad to be on my way
It's too bad you can't stay
Just to talk, take a walk
Down Robson
There's no need for words
For I've heard
That tree's precious song
Reaching out to feel
Something real
That he thought was gone
It's too sad I'm on my way
It's too bad I can't stay
Just to talk, take a walk
Down Robson
I felt his gaze
I looked away
River's suddenly astray
Was no train,
There was no track
So she turned
And looked right back
I can't find a better way
To describe or to say
How I fought
Not to talk
Down there on Robson
Qietly close to me
I agree
We might have met before
One look apparently
Got to me
It's so sad I'm on my way
It's too bad I can't stay
Just to talk, take a walk
Down Robson
Whirling in the wind
Fluttering
Joyous, free and bright
Gently whispering
Through the air
There's no need to hide
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström (2003)/MANUS
Too slowly, too gentle
It's hard to defend her
Once open, once shut in,
I fear what you'll bring in
Your words like a petal
I drown in your nectar
I long for the day when
I finally give in.
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström (2003)/MANUS
I'm going up
I'm going high
Soon I will burst
I'm gonna fly
It's here, it's near
What if I drown
I hear it clear
It's all around
When you are near
Come here, just look
See what I found
A million colours
Raining down
In the middle
Of this riddle
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström/MANUS
If you could turn around
See what I found
Move around
Those thoughts that are so familiar to you
If you could lead me there
Into your sphere
So I could see
What is me
In your mind
Then I wouldn't have to spin around
As if I didn't know you
Then you'd know I'm here
You'd know I care
You'd know I hear you
Long to be near you
I'm already here
If I could let you see
Reality
Inside of me
Those thoughts that are so familiar to me
If I could lead you there
Into my sphere
So you could see
What is me
In my mind
Then you wouldn't have to spin around
As if you didn 't know me
Then you'd know I'm here
You'd know I care
You'd know I hear you
Long to be near you
I'm already here
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström/MANUS
Just this feeling, is all I need
Just your love, and now I'm freed
I've never seen such glorious days
I can't believe it, I am amazed
But when things get real
I don't know what to feel
Reality strikes such a hard deal
When things get real
When things get real
You're the one I want you to be
I like the way I don't feel like me
Don't let the magic disappear
It's not a trick, that much is clear
But when things get real
I know I can't conceal
We're only human, not made of steel
When things get real
When things get real
Just this feeling, I'm full of need
Just your love, and still I bleed
I've never felt this way before
Feels like I'm drowning and you're the shore
When things get real
When things get real
Now I know your crazy beauty
You are you, and I am me
But you’re an unsolved mystery
Let me tell you, I’m not so sturdy
When things get real
When things get real
But when things get real
I want to make this appeal
Let’s make our love last, make our love last
When love gets real
When love gets real

I've seen that road before
But I just can't ignore it
I got to go under, down below
I got to go deeper, hear it all
I got to get down there
Break the spell
Wish me well
Be there for me Ring of Silver
Whirl inside me Rook of Gold
I can hear the echoes calling
Tell me what I have been told
Be there for me
Breathe there for me
The ocean tells me more
It's strange how I ignore it
I got to get over, fly above
See it in the clover and the dice
I got to get to that paradise
The wishing well
Be there for me Ring of Silver
Whirl inside me Rook of Gold
I can hear the sound of changes
Tell me what I have been told
Be there for me Ring of Silver
Whirl inside me Rook of Gold
I can hear the echoes calling
Tell me what I have been told
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström/MANUS
Then was then
But still so alive
This time I won't look back
Won't look out of the window
When the train leaves down the track
From this town
I see the water
I see the stones
I watch the trees
These lonely roads
Where do they lead?
This opens up a broad road back
I won't look out through that window
When the train leaves down the track
From this town
This time
In between
these sad and lonely places
Two different worlds
In two separate spaces
And I can't wipe out the traces
This time I won't look back
Won't look out of the window
This time it hurts to much
To leave this town
This time
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström/MANUS
Your walk
In that perfection
A reflection of the fear
Hidden for so long
Might be disturbed through the years
By those things that interfere
Your talk
About the revelation
A creation of a mind
To help you to be strong
Might be revealed when you find
Those things you left behind
I can walk between the dark and light sea
I can walk between the sun and moon
And still be in this stream
I can fly among the clouds I've already seen
I can fly among them all
I can be everything in this dream
Dream of love
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström/MANUS
You tell me that I should leave
You say that I don't believe
I walk in landscapes hard for you to see
A river has its reasons to veer
A walk in this promised land
Come with me, come take my hand
It doesn't matter how it used to be
A river has its reasons to fear

Turning pages
From the book we write
So much has been
So much to come
Turning pages
From the book we share
Leafs for all
With words for some
Each day we see is an empty sheet
To fill with words we can’t delete
Every volume on the shelf
Tells me something of myself
Turning pages
From the book of time
Stretching minutes
Reducing years
Turning pages
From the book of hope
Crossing fingers
Easing fears
Each day we see is an empty sheet
To fill with words we can’t delete
Every volume on the shelf
Tells me something of myself

Feeling unprepared
Feeling small, a little scared
Moving much too fast
A mile a minute from my past
Yesterday’s a million miles away
If I just could stay you know I would
Time flies while my past dies
That’s why, that’s why I run
To not be left behind
Yet another place
Another name, another face
Try to not look back
Finding answers on a one-way track
Yesterday’s a million miles away
If I just could stay you know I would
Time flies while my past dies
That’s why, that’s why I run
To not be left behind
Fear of growing old
Fear of sprouting roots I’m told
That which never stalls
Builds a home devoid of walls
Yesterday’s a million miles away
If I just could stay you know I would
Time flies while my past dies
That’s why, that’s why I run
To not be left behind

It's so nice to be high
up, in a building like this
It's just that I'm
a little afraid to fall down
on the ground
But I'll be
safe and sound
if I just look up at the sky...
I like it here
On my little balcony
Where I can watch the street
Watch other people meet
Where I can be on my own
Without being alone
I'm here now...
I appreciate your hospitality
But now I really have to leave
There's just one question still hanging over me;
Where is Wolfgang, where is he..?
It's so nice to be high
up, in a building like this
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström/MANUS
What remains of a silent wish
Is yet to discover
All I have is this that I know now
What remains of a silent kiss
Made me run for cover
Made me come to this that I show now
The pain
The loss
The tremble when I ask
What became of us
What becomes of a broken dream
Can it ever be mended
Will these walls of steel ever fall down?
What becomes of a heart that's true
So hopelessly uncovered
When it turns to you, will you let down
The pain
The need
The fear when the flood brings a heart that bleeds
Text & Musik: Jeanette Lindström/MANUS
I have been
where you are
now
I've been
there
and there
and
there
On the hills
In the green
By the sea
Alone
But not
Under the
same sky
In the beginning
of something
I'm getting closer now
I'm on my way
Because I kept it
in me
Slowly I can get
closer
Maybe even
closer
to you

A lover's infatuation
A fool's higher education
Well, I've graduated
From that sorry school
You can take my dead diploma
Choke yourself into a coma
I think I'll keep my heart
From that sorry school
From the bruised scholars of hard knocks
From the mouth of Pandora's box
I think I've learned my lesson
Now I feel so sorry
For that sorry school
I feel so sorry
For that sorry school
A lover's infatuation
A fool's higher education
Well, I've graduated
From that sorry school

In a field
I am the absence
of field.
This is
always the case.
Wherever I am
I am what is missing.
When I walk
I part the air
and always
the air moves in
to fill the spaces
where my body's been.
We all have reasons
for moving.
I move
to keep things whole.

For a hungry heart and an innocent mind, she believes
There's not room for another sleepless night
An innocence built out of grief and bitter pain
Left behind
And you were not that innocent at all
Now I think it's time, 'cause
I Saw You, I Saw You
With a listening heart and an innocent eye, she conceives
Herself, another sleepless night
Finally conceiving 'cause it's gone and clean
And there
And you know that you were not that innocent at all
But you made it somehow, 'cause
I Saw You, I Saw You
Here, the open heart in an innocent time, here the
Silence
And the calm, after many sleepless nights
She sits alone among those things fallen down
In that kind of silence when you find
That you were not that innocent at all
And that you'll make it somehow
'Cause
I Saw You, I Saw You
I Saw You, I Saw You

He says it's over now
But we need some persuasion
He says "no questions now"
He's got no time for complications
He starts a new life in the sky
While the hangover grows on the sly
Seems like he chases the wind
Supresses the darkness within
He says it's over now
So strong without the obligations
He never could allow
Someone to thow his frozen protection

You couldn't say I'm sorry
You had to much to ask
The fist you shook was empty
That's what I couldn't grasp
They held you strong, they held you soft
They held you long, held you aloft
They wrung the blood right from your heart
But couldn't reach the tear
My hands know how you feel
My hands know how you feel
You couldn't take the pressure
My finger on your pulse
Put it to your lips now
Was I true or false?
They held you strong, they held you soft
They held you long, held you aloft
They wrung the blood right from your heart
But couldn't reach the tear
My hands know how you feel
My hands know how you feel

I leave the stairs for you
- Coldn't you try to leave them for me
I come on down for you, naturally
I try to understand,
- Couldn't you try to see what's in me
I'm giving you my hand, but you don't see.
Snow falls so gently this year,
Soon it will melt and disappear.

In memory of a very dear friend
I watch the color
Very carefully a tear
Is finding its way down my cheek
I look into your eyes, they know
I watch the rain and
It's hard to breathe
They say it's a light and it's not dangerous at all
You say it's somewhat exciting,
But do you really have to go?
You don't look sad, no
You look quite calm and
Your eyes bear a smile, but it's a tired one
This seems so final, I don't want it to be true
But I feel in my whole body
This time it's really hard for you
They say it's a light, it's not a dark and chilly hole
You say you're not afraid anymore
'Cause it's not dangerous to fall
They say it's a light and it's not dangerous at all
You say it's somewhat exciting,
But do you really have to go?

Me in a life for two, I wish that it would come true
For I'd gladly show the secrets I hold
To someone as lovely as you
I long to be the one to hold you tight
Someone to share your dreams, the one who feeds your
Hungry eyes
And though I often wish I could change this world,
The pain is sweet
This once was a rosebud too, who bloomed in a life for two
But the sun was too hot for someone who did not know
That it wasn't so true
But this time I'll have no fear, I'd live without the lies
I'd kiss away each tear and bring a laughter to your eyes
And though I often wish I could leave this world,
The pain is sweet
The rosebud's no longer here
But a petal drifts through the air
The winds make it fly, and as I reach for the sky
I know it will not disappear, for
Someone to share your dreams, the one who feeds your
Hungry eyes
And I'll have no fear, I'd live without the lies
I'd kiss away each tear and bring a laughter to your eyes
And though I often wish I could leave this world,
The Change is sweet.

She sits alone
The shuttered windows
And doors keep the earth from hearing
She plays one tone
And then another
Then glittering all together
Like birds all together
Goodbye world, I found another
Better, far better, like no other
You'll see my shadow but not me
I found the 25th key
She calls her own
The strings give answers
She plays and the birds all listen
She plays one tone
And then another
Then glittering all together
Like birds all together
Goodbye world, I found another
Better, far better, like no other
You'll see my shadow but not me
I found the 25th key
Goodbye world....

He enters like light down a marble stair
Grave portraits of princes stare down
Asserting his voie in the dark, dry air:
"For canvas and oils I'll paint you the town"
This is my home, my marvelous home
Content now to sleep in the snow
Thus is my home, so far from my home
One less to feed when I go
More than chalk in my pocket, you'll see
Next winter when Stockholm has eyes for me
Ascending each tower he inhales the sky
Of Venice below, like a crown
No distance between us, the King and I
"For canvas and oils I'll paint you the town"
This is my home, my marvelous home
Content now to sleep in the snow
Thus is my home, so far from my home
One less to feed when I go
More than chalk in my pocket, you'll see
Next winter when Stockholm has eyes for me

The red is in the sky tonight, reminding me of things like
"Feelings made you go astray, the color carried you away".
I lean against that window pane, surrounded by those memories
Every breath is one more step, I toss and turn but won't forget
I wait for you to come my way
And this is the reason why I didn't stay
I'll know your face and I'll know your name
And I won't be afraid of the fall
I search among those memories one moment's hesitation,
Was it really worth the pain to never be the same again?
My mind collects the images, that sweet infatuation
Trust, and trust your heart alone, I'm sure you'll find your way home
I wait for you to come my way
And this is the reason why I didn't stay
I'll know your face and I'll know your name
And I won't be afraid of the fall
No, I won't be afraid at all.
I wait for you...
What's done is done, there's no return, we only can continue
Color carried me away, but made me see I couldn't stay
So now the red has turned to blue, the dark and deep divine one
Feelings made me go astray, but also made me find my way

I'm above you now
So high
You can't see me now
But I
See you in my dreams
I'm Another Country
Like this other country
Up above
I wonder can I reach you
Am I allowed?
The sky is clear
Above
I feel safer here
Where love
Can stay inside my mind
I'm Another Country
Like this other country
Up above
I wonder can I reach you
Am I allowed?
Would you reach
To me?

Believe in me, my friend
Your doe-eyed confidence
I'll keep it safe and sound tonight
In my private lion's den
The stars shine so sincerely
And speak just like a sage
Take me and remember
All the world's a stage
I trust to you, my friend
My so-called inner child
Put me to bed in style tonight
This wrong number that you dialed
The stars shine so sincerely
Before they come of age
Take me and remember
All the world's a stage
Confess to me, my friend
You know my words aren't true
But in this dizzy mood tonight
They don't matter much to you
The stars shine so sincerely
Like spotlights in a cage
Take me and remember
All the world's a stage

When the cold takes
a grip
When you stand there
alone, facing
a naked truth
When your heart
breaks
in pieces
Spread all over, and
blend
with that water from
your eyes
It's awful.

White Lady in the Window
Looks down upon the street
Taxi queues and shoppers
Cola bottles rolling blind
The view from her apartment
The world she cannot leave
She thinks about her younger days
And nothing comes to mind
White Lady in the Window
Her bright dress in the glass
Movie lights and billboards
Traffic rivers twist and wind
Some punkers shouting anthems
And caravans of hats
She thinks about the love she knew
And nothing comes to mind
White Lady in the Window
Stares up into the moon
Staring back in blankness
Turns and slowly draws the blind
The tenants down the hallway
Like eons from her room
She thinks about the life she led
And nothing comes to mind
